About the Department and its activities : 

Legal Metrology under The Consumer Affairs Dept. work in various field to establish and enforce the Act.,Law & rules made under these regarding Weights & Measures.

Verification, Inspection and seizure are made on Wts. & Measures, Petrol Pump, LPG. W.B. etc.

Three Inspector ( post-5) are working and earned verification & Stamping fees as per rule.
Packaged Commodities are also under the purview of this Dept. as per the provision of P.C. Rules,2011
