This section performs important roles related to technical and non-technical education.

This section also performs important roles regarding Model School, Kendriya Vidyalaya and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya under this district.

In addition to that, Madhyamik/Higher Secondary Examination, various recruitment examination, namely—West Bengal Staff Selection Commission, West Bengal Public Service Commission, Central Staff Selection Commission, Written examination under West Bengal Police Recruitment Board etc. are conducted through this section.

Any problem or information related to education and addressing to the District Magistrate, Birbhum is solved or catered through this section.
