Census Section

Introduction

The census section mainly deals with census matter under Directorate of Census Operation, WB, Janaganana Bhaban, Kol-106. To conduct decennial census is the main activity of this Section.

In addition to that Economic Census, with assistance from Asst. Director, B.A.E  & S., Birbhum is also performed.

Works related to National Population Register & Aadhaar Enrolment are monitored & supervised from this section.

There are 25(Twenty Five) Charge Offices in this district comprising of 19 (nineteen) Blocks & 6 (Six) Municipalities.

Supervision of Charge Offices for aforesaid activities are done from here.

Citizen Centric Activities: Aadhaar Enrolment & correction through agencies deployed by UIDAI & RGI-DCO in Different charges.

Place of Activities: In different Banks and Post Offices
