Micro Projects: Convergence Mode
Citizen centric & Development activities :
Swami Vivekananda Swanirbhar Karmasansthan Prakalpa (SVSKP) :
Swami Vivekananda Swanirbhar Karmasansthan Prakalpa, A scheme by Government of West Bengal to generate Self Employment in the Urban and Rural areas of the Birbhum district through promotion of tiny scale units. Govt. subsidy is granted to individual entrepreneurs and groups @30% on total Project Cost, subject to a maximum of ₹ 90,000 to individuals & ₹ 150,000 for groups. 65% of the total project cost will be provided by Bank/WBFC as loan. Rest 5% of the project cost shall be provided by the entrepreneur as margin money.

Eligibility : Unemployed youth, age between 18 to 45, family monthly income not more than ₹ 15,000 per month.
JAAGO :
Providing small revolving fund support to all eligible SHGs of the state through ‘JAAGO’, a special project for the SHGs both rural and urban. Through this scheme individual SHG receive benefit of ₹ 5,000 which they can use as revolving fund.
Eligibility & Mode of application : Registered SHGs automatically comes under this schemes.
Skill Development Training to the SHG Members :
Skill Development Training programs are organized for the SHGs on Handicraft products and various employment oriented trades for capacity building and to enable them to initiate own business units.
Eligibility : SHG Member, preferably Women.
Various Vocational Trainings :
Supervision of Various Vocational Trainings & other trainings funded by the Department of SHG & SE and WBSCL, organized by different Institutions & NGOs.
West Bengal Swanirbhar Sahayak Prakalpa :
West Bengal Swanirbhar Sahayak Prakalpa under which the SHGs receive subsidy @7% maximum though this scheme is currently executed & monitored by the Bank Branches of Birbhum District.
Sabala Mela :
Sabala Mela provides platform for selling the handmade products of the SHGs along with direct meeting of the Buyer & Seller negating the opportunity of a third person or middle man. This Mela is organized every year. SHGs and SVSKP entrepreneurs from all over the district gets the opportunity to sell their products.
Besides, SHGs and SVSKP entrepreneurs of this district with most appreciated products are sent to State level Sabala Mela, other State level melas, organized by different departments under Govt. of West Bengal and National level Melas outside the state.
Micro Projects; Convergence Mode :
Micro Projects on Convergence mode is an endeavour to work with various departments aims to provide sustainable livelihood to individual or SHGs. With the help, technical support from various departments such as Fishery, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry etc. Micro Projects on Convergence mode is prepared.
