Brief Description

Municipal affairs section is one of the important Sections of the administration. In the district of Birbhum, like other section, it performs various important roles related to Municipal Affairs. Municipal Affairs Section prepare and passe the bill i.e Salary, Dearness Concession Grant, Fixed Grant, Entertainment Tax, Relief on Pension, O&M Municipal Water Supply Scheme, S.S.P, Taxes on vehicle, Trade profession Calling, Construction of /Extension /Renovation of Office Building, Water Supply (Plan Head), West Bengal Urban Employment Schemes, Employment Generation, Development Scheme, 3rd S.F.C, Central Bus Terminus, Provident fund interest fixed Deposit etc. This section checks and verifies the NFBS Cases of Municipalities of this district and forwarded to the State Urban Development Authority accordingly and also deals Exemption of excise duty Certificate etc. Any problem or information related to Municipal Affairs Section and address to the District Magistrate, Birbhum is being forwarded to the S.D.O.s from this section for redressal.
